Description: In the coming months I am converting a tiny fraction of my several tons of exotic hardwoods back into cash- the good stuff that rarely makes it back to market. I had this stuff drying indoors in a heated space for a decade or more and some of it dates all the way back to 1992 when I began collecting the prettiest wood I could find from around the world. If you have a question, please ask it before purchasing- I know my wood and will answer within a few hours most of the time. All dimensions are +/- 1/16" but tend to be more accurate. If there are defects that I can see that I think would cause a problem I will note it in the description. Burls and live edge may have natural internal flaws. If you want the best, you'll likely find it here. If you don't like it when you get it, just return it for exchange, credit or refund, your choice. Carpathian elm is English elm and the burl is used in very high end applications just as Amboyna, Afzelia and Honduran rosewood burls would be. The measurements are very generous at 6 1/16 x 2 3/16 x 3/8+" for each scale. These have very nice nice lacey burl figure and great color and contrast, sure to make a gallery quality item. Note any bark inclusions. Professionally stabilized and ready to use for a variety of projects like gun grips, knife scales, box wood, micro lumber, etc. Photos are of the dry wood, the front sides sanded to 240 grit to better represent how it will look when finished. Just try to imagine how nice this will look with your favorite finish applied!
