Description: This offering is the Panasonic RF-4900. One of the best examples of the RF-4900 I have seen in years. It appears that the previous owner used this receiver for a very short time. My assumption is that he bought it, he turned it on, turned some dials and then put it away. As you can see in the pics, the receiver is in absolute mint condition. I believe the receiver went right back into the box soon after the initial purchase. (NOTE: I had the original box, with the owner's manual, etc. for this RF-4900 however, it was thrown out by accident after I pulled it out for review and bench testing - you will see in the pics that I still have the original Styrofoam packing material - sigh). I doubt you will ever find one in this condition anywhere. I shined my flashlight in between the vent holes on the top of the receiver (I didn't want to disturb the integrity of the receiver by taking off the case). There is no dust on the boards. I believe it truly has been in the box for decades. If you have been looking for one of these RF-4900s/DR49s, this is the one. It's a show piece. Receiver has been tested for functionality with AC power. All switches and controls work great. Digital display and backlight for S-meter works. This receiver is exceptional, mint condition.
