All rights reserved. 1967 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance handbill-sized poster promoting the 17th annual event, August 12, 1967. This is an unusual piecea smaller version of the poster, intended as ephemeral advertising. SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTO BELOW. This was the second year that cartoonist Eldon Dedini, of Esquire, New Yorker, and Playboy note, created the artwork for the Concours poster. The image of a female passenger gazing out an oval car window captures the essence of Concours style. Dedini's signature is printed to the right of the main image. Printed on beautiful heavy stock and intended for hanging in shop windows and on bulletin boards, telephone poles, and other places where most would not survive. And of course, most didn't. But this one did, and is in very good vintage condition. Yellowed with age with some unevenness in the yellowing along the left edge of the handbill. Poster shows some wear on the print surface as visible in the photos, but is overall clean, straight, and otherwise undamaged save for soft corners.
