Description: Up for auction is a rare experimental UCP-D pattern uniform top in size Medium Regular. The UCP-D pattern was an experimental variant of the UCP pattern that the army adopted in the early 2000's. UCP-D is identical to the UCP pattern with there part of e only difference being the coyote brown color being mixed into the pattern to give it a more earthy dirty look. These pieces were tested to see the differences in effectiveness between UCP, UCP-D, and Multicam. These uniforms were issued to the 4th Infantry division and the 82nd Airborne for testing. The army made uniform tops, bottoms, helmet covers, and a Molle II taps rigs. It is believed that roughly 1000 of these uniform items were made for the testing, making them quite rare and sought after. This Particular example is in great shape with little to no signs of use and wear other than a few wrinkles and some signs of being worn. Overall, this item is in fantastic shape and would make a fine addition to any collection of rare military uniforms.
