Also, in 1966 the Army Limited Warfare Laboratory began development work on a "Counter-Ambush Barrage Weapons System (XM55/XM215) for use in Vietnam that utilized multiple barrels firing the M24 cartridge. A 4M round contract was issued for the M24 in 1967 in support of the project.Each single purchase is for two unassembled cartons with a Remington Arms BALL, CAL. .22 LONG RIFLE, M24 label.
