Description: This is a beautiful vintage black transfer pattern on porcelain. "Over the Top" is one of a series of horse/fox hunt-themed plates, which were also available in brown. Black is a bit harder to find. Also unique, this scene features a female rider. The center picture is framed with an embossed dotted and scalloped border. This 9 3/4 inch plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is crazing in the glaze as seen in the photos. The printed backstamp " Royal Cauldon England Est. 1774 Made In England " was in use from 1930-1950.
