The MX Series is a more advanced version of the Metro Express series, with all models using roasted maple for the neck, which not only improves response but also helps to highlight the contours of the bass, which tends to be buried. The fret edges are rounded to create ball-edge frets, which further improve playability. Other improvements include the addition of shielding to the cavity, the change of the pickup to a noise-canceling type, the change of the string guide, the change to an easy back panel that makes the back panel easier to open, and an upgraded gig bag, and every detail has been improved. The most notable change is that the head logo has been changed to Sadowsky, giving it an even more brand-like feel. The evolved "MX Series" is the core model of the "Sadowsky" entry line.
