My mom was a cooking instructor and taught for years and owned a cooking store and held classes. Dolly also was known for taking cooking students to other countries to get first hand knowledge in that countries cooking with chefs. Dolly regularly worked with and had chefs come to her classes including Jacques Pépin among a few. Most of these books are signed to her as she was a big promoter of other chef's and always supported their books.
