Description: Sebastian Miniature Collectors Society Charter Member Plaque 1981. Perfect condition. SML #381b Base is 4" wide. 2" deep. Plaque is 4 7/8" tall. The Sebastian Miniatures collectors society was formed in January 1980. As part of a new member's package, every charter member who joined before December 31, 1980, received a Charter member plaque with Baston's profile and the words "Sebastian Miniature Colelctors Society: Charter Member - 1980". Beginning in 1981, every new member received a plaque inscribed with the year they joined the society. Sebastian Miniature Dealer Plaque - SML #168-A 1976 Perfect condition. Base is 3 1/2" wide. 1 3/4" deep. Plaque is 4 5/8" tall. Town Crier stands next to the plaque. In 1951 Baston had stopped distributing Sebastians through Carbone and Schmid. Now Selling through the Hunt local sales force, (1951 - 1852). Baston designed a plaque advertising Sebastians and sold them to his dealers for display at their stores. From 1976 to 1978, Sebstians were produced in Hudson, Massachusetts, and the plaque wording was so changed. Sebastian Miniature Collectors Society Charter Member Plaque 1980 - Signed. Each miniature produced is hand painted with meticulous detail. No two look exactly alike. America Remembers - Family Picnic - sculpted in 1979 by Prescott Baston. This was a Limited Edition Issue, and production ceased in 1981. Perfect condition. Base is 4 1/4" wide. 3/ 1/2" tall.
