This type or design One Mark note was issued dated September 15, 1922. Unlike the 1920 and earlier issues, it has no serial number, I suspect because the inflationary period was beginning and the Mark was quickly losing value. “Weimar Germany” officially “The Weimar Republic”, was named after the town of Weimar, where Germany’s new government was formed by a National Assembly after Kaiser Wilhelm II abdicated and the “German Empire” ended.
