These are the ones you really want to use on the Serotta F & S series forks as well as the Reynolds Ouzo series. It's also the same nut that is critical to any Serotta that had a carbon wishbone rear triangle. What makes em whacky? As many a frustrated Serotta owner has noted - the diameter is slightly smaller and the outside flange bigger than a standard brake nut (refer to pic of schematic attached). Even if you file down a standard nut as many of us have done, the smaller flange is not ideal and can risk damaging your fork and/or frame over time. Just like the OEM Serotta ones - these are made of stainless steel so should last forever as long as you don't lose them. I've never seen one rust, break, or strip.
