COMPLETE Significant Mormon Diaries Set— Limited 500 Sets

Description: On offer, a complete set of Signature Book's "Significant Mormon Diaries" series, totaling 13 volumes. Each volume is strictly limited to only 500 copies (with the exception of "Mormon Democrat" of which only 350 copies were produced), making a complete set extremely rare. Additionally, six of the volumes included in this set are signed by their respective editors. The diaries contained in this series represent a significant (no pun intended) contribution to Mormon/LDS historiography and broke new ground, particularly with the publication of Joseph Smith's diaries long before the Joseph Smith Papers project came to fruition, and the publication of the journals of William Clayton, which are still held back from full publication by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints archives. This series is extremely collectable and sought after, with several volumes in particular ("An American Prophet's Record", "An Intimate Chronicle", and "On the Potter's Wheel") sometimes selling for nearly $1k each at their height. This set is in Very Good condition, with only minor rubbing to the bottom-front fore-edge of the book block from shelving. No marking, writing, or soiling is present in any volumes with the exception of the signatures of the editors in six of the volumes. This set has been well-cared for and in my possession for exactly 10 years, and is now ready for a new collector. Additional information available upon request.
