Description: This one of a kind Native American copper bowl was hand crafted and signed by famous Garden Of The Gods Trading Post artist, Awa Tsireh. Awa Tsireh, also known as Alfonso Roybal, was renowned for his paintings and metal work. He worked mainly with silver, copper and aluminum. This very special bowl was hand hammered and stamped with traditional Native American symbols. It measures approximately 8.75” x 2” and is signed “Hand Made by Indians Awa Tsireh”. Signed Works by Awa Tsireh are rare to begin with, but those without the Garden of The Gods emblem are even more so, and were likely made out of his home workshop. This exceptional piece is in as found condition- I did not attempt to clean it. It likely dates to the 1940’s and has developed a wonderful patina as pictured. Don’t miss this chance to own a rare piece of San Ildefonso history.
