Small 3" Finely Woven Antique Tlingit Indian Basket c. 1915

Description: This beautiful finely woven Tlingit Indian basket features faded salmon pink and dark brown bands arranged in a Greek key design on the top and bottom bands and as chevrons on the central band of the basket. The basket is about 3" in diameter at the top lip and 2.5" at the base. It is 2.5" tall. It is tighly but thinly woven so it is a bit out of round at the top It also has a 1/2" split in the top edge without any fraying pr associated damage. I think the basket dates to the early 20th c.
