Buttons on top work, play, forward and backwards and can change tracks and listen to music etc. The headphone and line put jacks work. (Note) Line out volume seems to not be effected when change volume. Headphone jack works but can be scratchy at times. This does have the battery cover as shown. Has cosmetic flaws from use, bottom of cd player. Tested all front panel buttons and work as should. Skip track, boost, repeat etc. Not mint. Not brand new.
