Description: Hello. These few Prayer Beads of one Our Father and ten Hail Mary, are made from Rosaries I acquired through my support of a Catholic Convent. They kept the Crosses; I bought the beads in these New-Old stored away unused Rosaries. I am estimating the age of the original rosaries as approx. 1970s. The Rosaries are a very beautiful blue. Could say Blue Topaz, Light Aquamarine, Turquoise, Sky Blue, Baby Blue, or even Tiffany Blue but I think these beads have them all beat. There is much to say about this new little Rosary: 1. RHODIUM is a Platinum coating on precious metals to make them Shine. Rhodium currently sells for $19,000.00 per ounce, more than 10x the price of Gold because of its rarity. This Rosary is Rhodium-Finish. 2. This Rosary is from Japan, home of traditional marvelous bead making. The Rosaries are hallmarked as you can see from the little tags in the images. The tag does not appear on the Chaplet Rosary. It looks like it was washed, because it was along with the Rosaries, which still carried the dust from the costly Rattan, Sawdust, or other packaging Japan traditionally used. 3. The beads are AMAZING. I have spent weeks researching and studying these beads, for they are so beautiful and unlike any others I've ever seen on the more than 1000 Rosaries I've handled. Although they look like soft molten acrylic, or Synthetic Topaz, they repeatedly test as GLASS. But during one testing, the Presidium Gem Tester needle shot straight up to AQUAMARINE. It seems they might be a Synthetic Gemstone. They are NOT any form of plastic, for I gave them the ultimate test. I sacrificed a bead and placed it in a flame to see if it would melt. This bead did NOT melt. But after several moments, the interior metal heated to the point of cracking the bead and it burst apart. The pieces did not harm my fingers, as broken glass might. It seems perhaps the flame cracked open a Gemstone. So I still don't know if this is Glass or a Gemstone or Synthetic Gemstone that might register as Glass. But I can say it is Not a plastic substance. About this little ROSARY: The 3D Zinc Alloy Medal is of the Saint, front and back. The medal and Cross are so nice. The Holy Card is brand new and honors Saint Kateri, Lily of the Mohawks, a Native American Indian Saint. Please also see the dozens of other little Rosaries I offer. No refunds, no returns. Thank You.
