Description: The Cure – Assemblage CD Collection (1991) Fiction Records 12xCD box set France Intégrale 12 cd + livret édition limitée à 2500 ex. (12 cd complete collection + booklet limited edition 2500 copies) Fold-out cardboard box containing the 12 albums 1979-1989. The front side opens to reveal a large "the Cure" die-cut logo with a multi-coloured cardboard wheel attached below. You can make it turn on the right side to change the colors of the logo. A cardboard drawer has been fitted on the right side of the box in order to access the CDs. It's printed of fake violet silk. Each CD is packaged in an individual cardboard cover showing the design of the original CD release. All of them state on the back "Ne peut être vendu séparément" (Not to be sold separately). The French-printed 64 page booklet features lots of pictures, interviews excerpts and detailed biography of The Cure, their songs and albums. It was written in collaboration with the French fanzine "Three Imaginary Boys". It's to date the only item where you could find a cardboard sleeve CD version of 'Boys Don't Cry', 'Japanese Whispers', 'Concert' and 'Staring At The Sea'. In French, 'assemblage' means 'assembly' but also 'blend of grape varieties' in wine growing vocabulary. Track 1-13 is unlisted on artwork, as on most releases of Three Imaginary Boys until the 2004 remaster.
