Description: Up for auction is a Very Rare, SIGNED First U.K. Edition/Tenth Printing of The Day Of The Jackal by Frederick Forsyth. This is the Exceedingly Hard to Find U.K. Edition!! NOT the More Common U.S. Edition!! Hardcover with its original dust jacket, NOT price-clipped! Original price of 2.00 net. Published by Hutchinson, 1973. Boldly SIGNED by the celebrated author! NOT inscribed, simply SIGNED by the great Frederick Forsyth! A First U.K. Edition/Tenth Printing with "Tenth impression April 1973" clearly stated on the copyright page. Please remember this is NOT a First Edition/First Printing! Some would classify this copy as a First Edition Thus, a First Edition/Later Printing, a First Edition/Early Printing and so on. We prefer to be as specific as possible with our classifications/descriptions which is why we refer to this copy as a First Edition/Tenth Printing. This rare treasure is in lovely, Highly Collectible condition! The book appears gently read and has no internal writing, no foxing, no remainder marks, no missing or ripped pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is has some wear but is still holding tight and the pages are surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf wear along with a noticeable lean, bumping/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards and marks/wear to the edge/fore pages, NOT affecting the text! As previously mentioned, the binding has some wear and there is some clearly visible wear where the pages and the spine/binding meet. We purposely photographed this area on the page where the wear is the most clearly visible. While the wear is not terribly egregious, it is still clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. There is a large mark/age discoloration on the final, blank/colored page! The age discoloration/mark is very clearly visible on the rear side of the last blank/colored and has been closely photographed for your careful examination/consideration. The original dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, chipping, rips/tears, marks and rubbing. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners, on both the front and rear inside jacket flaps and near/along the edges! While not terribly egregious, the wear is still very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered before buying. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare book. Numerous photographs from various angles were taken for your consideration/inspection. Please closely and carefully view ALL the pictures for further clarification!! Following the conclusion of the auction, payment must be received within three days or the book will be re-listed. Please feel free to contact us with any and all questions. We are very proud of our 100% positive feedback/ranking and offer an easy, no questions asked return policy so you can buy with confidence! Thank you!!
