Description: Turquoise Petit Point Necklace 3 Panel Sterling Silver Navajo Francis M Begay This is a very unique petit point turquoise necklace/choker that's made with three plate sections. Each section uses a central sterling silver track around which the turquoise stones are focused. The artist used snake eye turquoise stones as accents in all three plates as well. The links connecting the three plates plus the longer chain are all handmade. The choker is 19 1/2" from tip to tip. The central plate adds about another 2 1/2" to its overall length. The central plate is about 2 3/4" at its widest. The side sections are about 2 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall. The handmade chain segments are 6" long on each side. The choker weighs 71 g. Artist's signature is "F.M. Begay Navajo". Francis M Begay, began using this hallmark in 1975 and is known for using the tradition of Navajo workmanship in Zuni-style petit point.
