This is a GUARANTEED ORIGINAL insignia officially issued by the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine to a police officer – NOT a souvenir, fantasy item, or replica! Large size, measures approx. 4¾” x 3¾”. The artwork and inscription are embroidered in silk of various colors and metallic thread on a light-blue cloth background. The center shows an embroidered police cruiser. At the top is the embroidered Trident national emblem and ribbon of sky blue and gold colors of the national flag of Ukraine. The embroidered inscription in white reads “State Automobile Inspection (of) MVS”. The patch is in SUPERB, NEAR MINT condition; judging by its condition, it may have been sewn-in to the uniform which was probably never worn or worn just a couple of times. The colors are strong, not faded. There is only a tiny amount of wear to the embroidery at the edge. This is a scarce obsolete insignia that is not in use anymore.
