Description: Hello, This pot was made by Nishiki-Gawa, and old Japanese kiln that doesn’t make bonsai pots anymore. It was made about 60-70 years ago and was a special commission piece for A Tokyo based Garden named Kinsho-En. Which is no longer in operation. I purchase this pot from Mr Kunio Kobayashi, owner of Shunka-En. I studied here in the early 2000’s and head back periodically. I purchased the pot about 5 years ago. It’s a very rare pot, I’ve never seen another like it by this maker before. Never seen any other pots by this maker Before. The patina is very nice as is the shape.
