Description: DATING TO THE 1880’S THIS PIECE IS EUROPEAN IN ORIGIN. FASHIONED OF A VERY UNUSUAL DARK BROWN COTTON WITH A WHITE DOT RESIST PRINT. THE COLLAR IS TRIMMED IN SELF ACCORDIAN PIPED PLEATS WITH A MACHINE EYELET ENCIRCLING THE INNER NECKLINE. BUTTONS CLOSED IN THE FRONT, THE BOTTOM THREE BUTTONS ARE ABSENT. TRIMMED ALONG THE BOTTOM IN A SOLID BROWN COTTON THAT MATCHES THE BANDS ON THE CUFFS AS WELL AS THE INNER RUFFLES OF THE CUFF. BUTTONS TRIM EACH CUFF AT A DART DETAIL WITH THREE ROWS OF RUFFLES. CONDITION: MINOR AGE COLOR SEEN TO THE WHITE EYELET RUFFLES OF THE CUFFS AND NECKLINE WITH THE SHOULDER SEAM OPEN AN INCH AND NEEDING A STITCH CLOSED AND A SMALL FABRIC FLAW TO THE PRINT ON THE CENTER REAR BACK AS PICTURED.
