Description: Nostalgic elephant cookie jar from the 1940s. On the heels of Disney's Dumbo, everyone was making cute elephant cookie jars and other items. This particular one was quite popular and inexpensive. I am unsure who the maker is. Paint loss on this jar is typical of this jar - but he does still have his cute eyes! Note: This has some unusual, rough stains on the inside. I have not soaked it nor attempted to remove them. I fear soaking may remove more paint. Outside, there are lighter spots. There is also crazing throughout. SEE PHOTOS. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 12" tall x 6-1/2" wide by 6-1/2" deep with the lid on.Weight 5lbs.
