Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION: Vintage 1950's American Character 8" Betsy McCall Doll in Original Beach Costume with Beach Blanket Cute vintage blue eyed, golden blonde 8" Betsy McCall doll with pretty facial paint, synthetic wig, with barrettes, sleep eyes with molded lashes, painted lower lashes, eyebrows, lips and lightly blushed cheeks. Good condition torso, legs and arms. Perfect fingers. Made of hard plastic and jointed at the neck, shoulders hips and knees. Marked in a circle on her lower back. She is wearing an original red and white polka dot sunsuit, beach bag, beach hat and beach blanket. Closes with snaps. Underneath, her original undies. On her feet, white side button shoes.CONDITION:Good played with condition. Face paint is good and original. Clear, manually working sleep eyes with molded lashes. Wig is thick and in original set with barrettes. Perfect fingers and toes. Head and arms are on fairly tightly. Her hip and knee joints are very loose and she cannot stand alone. I don't have a stand for her. She had substantial chips to her knees. Skin surface is clean and even-toned. No seam splits, bites, or stains. Costume is in good played with condition with working closures, over all age soil - especially the beach blanket, some loose threads and somewhat stretched leg elastic. Shoes are not damaged.
