Description: This listing is for a truly gorgeous vintage ivory wedding gown judged to be from the 1920's or 1930's. The satin collar curves gracefully and sets off the lace gown which is fully lined. The front of this dress has a classic look, but the back of the dress is stunning. As you can see in the photos, the back has an insert of a soft pleated fabric - perhaps chiffon, but I'm not sure. The satin bow on the back serves as a transition piece for the deeply cut V of the collar to meet the pleated insert. This dress is beautiful with the minimalism of the front and the dramatic pleated panel of the back. There is no label but it appears to be well made. The condition overall is very good with some minor imperfections from age and storage. The zipper is approximately 17" long and it slides up and down with ease. As you can see in the photos, there is a small rust mark on the front of the collar as well as a couple of similar spots on the lace. They may be removable but I haven't made any attempts. It's also possible that the collar could be embellished in some way. There is a small snag on the collar in the back. Both the snap and the hook closure on the back need to be reinforced and I think the bow on the back would benefit from having snaps or fasteners of some sort added to the back to hold it upright in place. Approximate dimensions are: The distance from underarm to underarm measures 18-inches. The length of the front of the dress to the lower edge measuring from the top of the collar to the hem is 53-inches. The length of the back of the dress from the top of the collar to the hem is approximately 57-inches as the pleated area is slightly longer in the back. This dress smells clean but has not been professionally cleaned and is being sold as is without returns allowed. Shipping will be via Priority Mail with Insurance and Signature Confirmation.
