It has a Harris & Mallow model 163-725 German-made quartz movement requiring one C battery (not included). The movement features a start/stop switch, time adjustment knob, and and accuracy adjustment screw (one turn = 50 sec/24 hrs). I have neither tested nor adjusted the accuracy.Battery shown in photos is not included.Measurements: Black base is 18" diameter; wood scalloped part is 15-1/2" diameter.
