Description: Vintage Folding Bowie Knife W/ Sheath Folding Bowie Knife, typically made in India, marked on the 7" blade below the false edge "Sheffield Steel", marked at the ricasso "No 6, Sheffield Steel", the opposite ricasso marked with two Maltese crosses similar associated to the Sheffield knife maker Joseph Rodgers. However this is not a Rodgers blade. Indian really liked British made knives, which came with the 'British Invasion'. Some Indian manufacturers (backyard forge or factory) made approximate copies of the vintage Sheffield knives and marked with the name of their favorite manufacturer Swing works well and original sheath is included. This knife was likely used and carried and does have etchings from a previous owner on the handle as you can see in photos. Please ensure you review all photos to ensure quality. We understand this isn’t just a knife but a collector’s item. This knife will come securely packaged in a box, not an envelope.
