Description: Vintage Solid Cut Crystal Hinged "HEART" VANITY BOX JEWELRY CASKET Description of item... Here we have a beautiful, vintage and uncommon solid cut crystal hinged "HEART" shaped VANITY DRESSER BOX JEWELRY CASKET displaying star burst and beveled cuts on the lid and bottom, vertical cuts on the sides along with a gold/brass plated metal (ormolu) rear hinge and applied top/bottom lid gold plated metal edging on the rims. (Hinge in fine working order.) It measures approx. 5-3/4" long x 5-3/4' wide x 3" high (closed.)It is in great maintained (lightly used) condition with no chips or cracks, some very minor gold plate edge rim scuff/rub marks here and there...not offensive. It is being offered in "as found" condition, not cleaned since acquired.Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age and origin are unknown, circa 1950-60's (possibly from France, although I do not know this for certain.) This item weighs approx. 2-3/4 lbs., add 2-1/4 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material.
