Description: Vintage Italian hand painted art pottery vase or tall jar. It is hand-signed either Pelletti Deruta or Perretti Deruta. There was a sticker at one time on the bottom but that is gone. There are no cracks and it is in good condition. The only flaw are a couple of areas of roughness at the rim. This piece possibly hand a lid originally and the flaws could have come from the meeting of the lid to the rim. The clay is gray with tiny speckles and the hand painting is predominately blue in color. You can feel the coils on the inside of the pot to show that it was hand built. 11 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches at the widest, and 4 inches at the opening at the top. Weight is 4 pounds 4 ounces. Perfect for tall flowers for a floor vase or just for display.
