Description: Vintage Light Weight Racing Mavic GEL 280 700C Tubular Tire Road Bike Wheels for Shimano Compatible 9, 10, 11 speed Cassettes Very Nice barely used 700c Mavic GEL 280 Tubular Road Bike Racing Wheel set. This is a Beautiful light weight Wheelset unfortunately I cannot identify the Hubs, Prototypes? Hubs look like Chris King and have the same quality, also very similar to, Shimano Dura-Ace, Royce, & Reynolds hubs. Very Nice but Unidentified, Wheels came from a High End Collector so most likely Prototypes of some sort. They Spin Buttery smooth, have sealed bearings, precise axle, cones, & spacers. Front is 28 spoke hub laced cross 3, rear hub 28 spoke hub cross 3 laced with stainless steel with DT stainless steel 15 gauge 1.8 spokes spokes. Alloy Rims are 700c / 622 and require Tubular / glue on / sew up tires. The front hub has 100 mm spacing, Rear hub has 132 mm spacing and takes a 9, 10, or 11 speed Shimano or Shimano Compatible Cassettes. The Wheels are Barely Used, look NOS, spin buttery smooth and true, rims show minimal brake wear, wheels could possibly use little cleaning detailing to be super cherry.
