Description: Vintage polished Morenci mine turquoise nuggets with heishi shell beads necklace measures approximately 29" the shorter strand and 30" the longer strand. This 2 strand necklace weighs .90 ounces. It contains 66 turquoise nugget stones, all on wire, with a barrel clasp - helping the necklace to last and wear longer. Several small silver beads are near the claspSome of the stones have polished pyrite inclusions that have a silver look to them. These stones probably came from the Morenci mine which is Northeast of Tucson. I bought this necklace when I lived in Tucson, Arizona about 15 years ago, but I do not know exactly who made it or how old it is.It is a very nice, lighter weight necklace that can be worn for any occasion.
