Description: This is fresh from a Massachusetts estate. I am told that it hung in their home for over 30 years. They said it was a Brazilian artist but I can not find anything on this artist. I do have another of his works under a separate auction. This is a very large religious painting, depicting nuns at a monastery or church with a crucifix / Jesus on the cross hanging on a wall. One of the religious women is reading a prayer or some type of religious text while three other nuns are sitting at a long table with food. There are also some nuns on top of the roof It is very large. It is 51 inches tall by 42 inches across.
