Description: It’s getting hard to find nice ones like this with the original box and hangtag. This one has seen minimal use and looks like it spent most of its life stored away. I gently cleaned out the few crumbs and polished the exterior to a high shine. Calibrated the shade control to make "medium" toast at middle setting. Tested for a couple of weeks in my own kitchen, and it works properly and reliably. No crumbs, grease, or dirt. No funky odors. Bakelite base is 100% solid and shiny. Debossed lettering on handles and shade control knob are clean and sharp. ***Someone asked a question about the cord. When I acquired this toaster, the original plug was crushed, almost as if it had been run over. Rather than put on a cheap-looking replacement plug, I replaced the entire cord with a new old-stock replacement, which has remained in its original wrap all these years. It works like new, and does not heat up, but if the purchaser desires, I will replace it with an authentic period black rubber-covered Sunbeam cord. I grew up with one like this, and have been restoring and selling them since 1978, when I bought my first used one at a garage sale.
