Description: Orange Bird was first created by Disney in 1969 as a mascot for the Florida Citrus Commission, in exchange for the commission's sponsorship of the Enchanted Tiki Room attraction and Sunshine Tree Terrace at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom theme park. Orange bird debuted in 1971 with the opening of the Magic Kingdom and has been a fan favorite for over 50 years! Listed for sale here is a set of 3 vintage Orange Bird figurines, each of the 3 with their own unique pose, two standing and one seated. Noted on the bottom of each is "Walt Disney Productions" and "made in Hong Kong." They range in size from approximately 2-2.5" tall. I have often seen this figures dated to the 1970's, although I am not able to confirm the exact vintage. Figurines are in good vintage pre-owned condition.
