VTG 1950s ADVERTISING PC JOSIAH WEDGWOOD INN ST PETERSBURG FL BEST APPLE PIE! *

Description: Featured is a vintage 1950s Advertising Postcard for the Wedgwood Inn in St Petersburg, Florida (with mention of other Southern eateries presumed to be owned by same company: Johnstone's Coffee Shop at Daytona Beach & Mammy's Shanty in Atlanta) ... the company had a creative and consistent advertising campaign of PCs that used the same catchy subject methodology as this card (which is one of the scarcer cards seen) which PC's subject was focused on the famed "Master Potter" Josiah Wedgwood (one would assume he was the Inn's namesake). And then there was the consistent, "shouting" promotion of the Inn's Apple Pie as "The World's Best"! One gets the sense the Advertising was not fancy, but consistently effective. * Note: however faint, there is no line down/across front or back of PC ... intermittent scanning defect that has, unfortunately, returned.
