Description: The artist who created this original watercolor painting had the hands and eyes of a surgeon. The details are sharp and beautifully crafted. The lace is quite amazing in the detail expressed with watercolors (not an easy accomplishment). The strawberries are true to life. Be sure to take a look at the pottery and mason's jar. The artist used acrylic highlights to accent the watercolor. As an artist myself, I have often used that combined media to accent my own paintings. It is a common practice in the art world. Watercolors are generally transparent., while acrylic paints are mostly opaque. As both media are water based, the combination truly work perfectly together. I have been unable to find anything more regarding the identity of this artist. With such a developed gifting as he or she has expressed, I am certain there must be many more artworks out there. I welcome the viewer's input if anyone knows more regarding this artist. It is my speculation that this painting is quite old. That is upon the basis of the frame's original condition (before refinishing). As stated above, it's all in quite beautiful condition now. I will package this painting with great care for shipping. At the time of shipping, I will remove the original glass and replace it with acrylic art glass (Plexiglass). Plexiglass has proven nearly shatterproof, and will assure a safe delivery.
